I am pleased that I discovered that on the website YouTube are three interpretations of my piece Rings of Saturn. Each is different and in my opinion very interesting. Surprising for me is this that I knew only one movie which I uploaded.

Z przyjemnością odkryłem że na serwisie YouTube są umieszczone trzy interpretacje mojego utworu Kręgi Saturna. Każda jest inna i moim zdaniem bardzo ciekawa. Zaskakujące dla mnie jest to, że wiedziałem tylko o jednym filmie który sam zamieściłem.

Program note

My composition ”Shreds of sleep” (Strzępy snu) is located between dream and consciousness. A feeling of the necessity of action clashes with oneiric world of sleep. Finally it becomes an obsession.

Technique aspects are focused on multivariate analysis and the processing of a theme of six sounds. The pitches are related by the golden and silver ratios. I always work in pure frequencies before I start writing. In addition, in the middle part of this particular work I transformed a melody by connecting each pair of sounds, and have made chords using sums of their frequencies.

Nota programowa

Moja kompozycja ‘’Strzępy snu’’ jest zawieszona między snem a świadomością. Poczucie konieczności działania ściera się z wyśnionym, onirycznym światem. W końcu staje się to obsesją.

Techniczne aspekty są skupione na różnorodnej analizie sześciodźwiękowego tematu. Wysokości są w relacji złotej i srebrnej proporcji. Zawszę pracuję na czystych częstotliwościach zanim przystąpię do pisania. Dodatkowo, w środkowej części utworu zastosowana jest transformacja melodii poprzez łączenie dźwięków w pary i tworzenie akordów z sum ich częstotliwości.
